Ever since a young age, Mr. Pompey has been a fan of music. Not coming up under the influences of the hip hop artists of the 80's, he was blessed with sounds of the R&B artists his parents listen to. The smooth sounds of Luther Vandross, Earth Wind and Fire, Kool & the Gang, Freddie Jackson, and Sade have always been at the core of his love of music. He has dipped in and out of the music scene...from piano lessons throughout his younger years to playing the trumpet in his middle school band. Pompey stepped away from the music in order to focus on his grades in school. A career in music was never thought of throughout high school. After a year in Atlanta, GA, he came back to his hometown and collaborated with some fellow high school classmates and began rapping. As with every aspiring rapper, he felt he was one of the best around. However, Pompey always knows how to play his position well. He realized that he had a knack for making instrumentals that people really enjoyed. He began honing his skills in the production area. He focused on the quality of his production and to this day has never looked back. Currently, he is working on a project with Primo Starr. He produced Primo Starr's first single "Say Hello To My Life". He is also currently working with Smokesta from Augusta, Ga. He produced the single "Bussin" which will be on the upcoming mixtape with Lil Bankhead from Atlanta, GA. He also has worked with various artists around his area.
